The Stranger That Cheated Death...

The Stranger That Cheated Death...

I think we can both agree that getting between a raging man with a knife who is trying to kill another man is not on our “bucket list” of things to do.

But that’s exactly what happened.

True story...

In February of 2015 around 9:00 p.m. I was walking along the Agora Market in Cagayan de Oro, Philippines when I saw a bloody man running towards me and screaming for help.

I could see the fear and panic in his eyes as he reached out to me.

Several feet behind him, I saw another man armed with a knife chasing after him. The bloody man was gasping for air as the attacker closed in.

I didn’t have time the think.

But when the attacker swung his knife towards the helpless man’s back I deflected his hand, twisted his wrist and grabbed the knife.

The attacker was shocked at what I did. Seeing the knife in my hand and afraid that I might use it against him, he turned away and fled.

I called for a taxi and took the bleeding man to the hospital.

The good news… the bloody man lived.

He actually thanked me a few days later for saving his life. And I’m glad I was there to help.

Like I said before… I didn’t have time to think. I just reacted. It was all automatic.

Question: Could you have done what I did in a similar situation?

I’d say YES. And let me tell you why.

Because what I did was nothing more than the repetition of a particular stick fighting exercise I do daily. (Screenshot of training below.)

This little known training drill develops hand speed, timing, and accuracy which is one of the reasons I was able to disarm the man in a split second.

My master said the training drill was used religiously by legendary Grandmasters of Balintawak Eskrima to improve their stick fighting reflexes.

So if you’re interested…

You can now get the same stick fighting training that’s been passed down from the Grandmasters and helped me save another mans life.

Hopefully you're never in a life or death situation, but if you are...

 You'll be ready.

Just enter your email address below and I'll send you over the training video.
